Bio

Noah Crist is a composer and music educator based in Baltimore, Maryland. A newer composer of solo, chamber, orchestral, choral, and electronic works, Noah develops experimental, ambient pieces that capture the ear. 

Growing out of the choral tradition through the Maryland State Boychoir, Noah has been involved in various esteemed choral groups, including the Roanoke College Choir and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. He continues this tradition through his choral compositions, which range from minimalist to contemporary styles.

At Roanoke College, Noah developed an affinity for free, experimental styles that break out of traditional structures. He incorporates instrumentations from various music cultures, and utilizes minimalist, abstract composition techniques to create mesmerizing soundscapes.

Noah is an active and committed music educator, teaching elementary music through Baltimore County Public Schools. He also maintains his own music tutoring studio where he teaches composition, voice, and piano.

Noah holds a Bachelor's degree in music from Roanoke College, where he studied composition under Dr. Gordon Marsh. He resides in the Baltimore area, where he continues to compose music from his home studio. Check out his latest projects here:
