A commission can be done for any purpose. For example, honoring a person's life, contributing to a community, or securing new, original repertoire for an ensemble.

The cost to commission a new piece varies greatly depending on the size of the ensemble/instrumentation, length of the piece, and time allowed for creation. I am open to discussion for a rate that works for your ensemble's/organization's budget.
